Junuary

No, I did not misspell, the official term is now "Junuary". (try to google this term, it is all over the net) It is so cold here. We went downtown on the bus today and I saw a lady wearing ear muffs (I, myself was wearing my winter coat!). It has been in den mid 5o's for a week now. Oh yeah, and it has been raining, too. Will we ever see spring or summer? To put it into perspective "The Seattle Times" headline read today "Colder Than Siberia". Turns out while we are setting low records for the daytime highs, it is about 10 degrees warmer in Alaska and even Siberia has us beat. When you drive to Spokane you have to bring snow chains, because it has been snowing up on the passes for the last few days and several hikers died on Mt. Rainier last weekend, because a blizzard dumped 2 feet of snow. This is June! It is really hard to feel sorry for people dying back East of heatstroke, when you have to run the heater all day, just to keep the house at 62 F!
