The 100th Blog!

I just noticed that this is going to be the 100th blog entry. And how better to celebrate it by bringing everyone up to date what we have been doing during this reluctant spring. I put together a random collection of photos from May. We have some baseball pictures. Then the girls love to ride their bikes. Since our street is too busy we always have to take the bikes to the park.
Amelia had a field trip with her preschool. We took a (public) bus ride from the Ravenna neighborhood to the Meadowbrook pond. Amelia loved the bus. I will try next year to maybe take the bus once a week to school, that is, if we find a connection that works and does not require too much time. It took us nearly an hour to get to school, a distance that I drive in less than 10 minutes.
Amelia is obsessed with spraying the windows. A friend gave her a squeegee for her birthday and she loves to use it. So now we have hourly window washings. At the zoo the new flamingo exhibit opened this weekend and I took the girls to see it.
We started reading Harry Potter with Marlene. It took us 3 weeks for the first book. She is hooked, she immediately wanted to read the second one. Marlene is not able to read it herself yet, but she finished her first Magical Treehouse book by herself. It is amazing, that at the end of 1. grade she is able to read small books by herself!
